Rubie's Birthday

We had a two day celebration of Rubie's 2 year old birthday.  As soon as we finished everything at the Women of Steel Triathlon, Scott and I headed to Thanksgiving Point where we met Rubie and Eric with Grandma Jeppson.  Grandma Jeppson spent the night at our house and took care of the kids in the morning.  Even though Rubie's actual birthday was on Sunday, August 8th, she wanted to spend time with Rubie for her birthday.
In the museum store are lots of things the kids love to try on.  Even giant pink snakes.

Playing chase with the snakes and a crocodile.

The birthday girl.

We decided to eat some lunch at the cafe first and then go spend some time in the dinosaur museum.

The kids entertained themselves with a game of blow the napkins across the table.

They thought it was hilarious.

Rubie loved that even Grandma got involved.

Part of the NASA Blast display.  The kids enjoyed discovering all the things you can do with light.

One of our favorite parts of the museum is building a dinosaur.

Even Rubie has ideas of what dinosaurs may have looked like.

We also love the sand and water table.

Building a dino island.

Eric also likes the dinosaur games on the computer, especially the paint a dinosaur game.

After painting dinosaurs he is happy building dams and islands.

Rubie received her very own pink bike.  Still just a little big.

Sunday morning Rubie woke up to find some beautifully wrapped presents.

She likes opening the cards.

The Happy Birthday cards along with $10 and stickers.

What is this huge one?

Where did she go?

A spoon?  My very own purple phone?  Who can I call?

A chair just for my doll?

I can make breakfast for doll.

What else is in here?

A microwave, a fridge, a kitchen yeah!

Look how much fun!

That afternoon Lloyd and Carolyn joined us for a birthday dinner and cupcakes.

"Yeah, my happy dirthday!"

"Oh, my candle!"

"Again!!"

Does she get another wish?

"My happy dirthday!"

"Hi daddy."

Licking the frosting because that is the only part I like.

Mmmmm, frosting.

The frosting is good, but....

"Again, candle!"

"Happy dirthday to me again!"

How many wishes is that?

My friends, Lloyd and Carolyn.
We are so thankful for our beautiful Rubie.  She certainly is a joy in our family.  She has so much spunk and personality.  She is talking so well.  And has definite ideas and opinions about what she wants.  From what she wears in the morning, to how to do her hair, what she will play with and how, and even more.  She is easy to love.  She is so sweet.  She loves pink and princesses and goes nuts over the Disney Princesses.  She loves to play with friends, be outside, run, and just play.  She is very good at entertaining herself with her doll and her toys.  She says sweet prayers. And it is the best when she blesses you with a kiss and/or a hug.  We love you Rubie!
