"Fireman" uniform

Sarah let Eric borrow Noah's rain gear outfit that he has outgrown. To Eric, the gear looks like a fireman outfit. Eric must wear this uniform everywhere. The only way I can get him dressed in the morning is if he knows he gets to put on his "fireman outfit." He would wear only that but I try to convince him that firemen wear other clothes under their uniforms. He wears it to eat meals, to play, to go places, to nap in. He tried to wear it to church on Sunday. I'm still not exactly sure how I got him to wear his church clothes and a regular jacket.

Gingerbread Train

We had a fun Family Home Evening the other night. We made a Gingerbread Train. I'm not that creative, or even want to spend the time on making gingerbread, so I just bought a kit, but we all enjoyed it just the same. Scott did all the main construction. Eric and I helped with the decorating.
Eric's favorite part of the gingerbread train building was the candy. It didn't take him long to figure out that his fingers fit into the holes of the gummy lifesavers.
Eric did a very good job of putting the candy on the icing.
Our finished product. Choo, choo! (By the way, Eric's "fire-man" pants were the perfect thing for him to wear.)

Rubie is 4 months old.

Rubie is four months old. She is growing so quickly. She has such a cute and sweet personaltiy. She loves to laugh and smile at her mom. She loves to watch Eric and is very entertained by him. She is very good at entertaining herself with toys while her mom is busy with Eric or busy doing chores. She is a good sleeper which is important to mom. She is happy all the time and a joy to her family.
Rubie loves to be outside just as much as mom and Eric do. Eric had a hard time letting Rubie sit in his stroller though.
Rubie in her room with her doll and elephant. The only reason that Rubie gets to keep these soft plush toys is that Eric knows that Grandma gave these to Rubie. Whenever he sees them though he wants them so bad. Mom has to be really possessive that these belong to Rubie.

Rubie and Eric together.

Eric trying to not wrestle Rubie. He wants to lay all over her and try to get her to play with him.

Eric and Rubie rolling around on the floor.

Both Rubie and Eric love stuffed animals. But all things plush and soft in the house belong to Eric. Sometimes he tolerates Rubie touching one of his animals, but not for very long. When he is feeling very generous he will give her a stuffed animal for just a minute. But as soon as he feels that she is liking it, he quickly snatches it back.

Rubie swimming in the tub.

Rubie loves taking baths. She is not afraid of the water and does not mind it in her face. She loves to get water into her mouth. She will turn her head to the side so that she can swallow some bath water. Sometimes she gets water in her nose, coughs, and then smiles about it.

Thanksgiving Dinner

This was who we had Thanksgiving dinner with.

Thanksgiving Holiday

We spent Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Jeppson's home in Farmington. We were joined by Great Grandma Perry, Uncle Joe and Aunt Tai, and Cousin Jamie with her husband Todd and daughter Mya. Eric loves to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house because Grandma has such great toys and spends lots of time playing with Eric, reading to him, and just being with him. Eric also loves his uncle Joe because he likes to wrestle and be silly with him. We had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner that Grandma and Grandpa worked very hard to put together. Tai also contributed the best yams. Friday morning mom, Eric, Rubie, Joe, Tai, Jamie, and Mya headed South to St. George. Scott went the night before with his business partner, Bob, to set up a booth for their business, evove, at Santa's Workshop held at the Dixie Center in St. George. Eric got to ride with Joe, Tai, Jamie, and Mya. That was much better than mom and Rubie because Jamie was there to pick up dropped toys and sippy cups, there were all those people to entertain, and a DVD player with Little Einstein DVDs and The Chipmunks movie. I guess mom and dad need to invest in a portable DVD player for long car rides. We had a great time at Jeppson home in Toquerville. Trips to Toquerville are a lot different than they used to be. Jen used to load up her bikes and gear for hiking and lots of adventures. This trip we just enjoyed being at the house. We saw lots of cousins. Eric loved playing with Holton and Morgan. Rubie enjoyed being held by lots of different people. Scott's booth did very well at Santa's Workshop. We got to play with Mya so that everyone could go to the temple and witness Cousin Jon being sealed to his wife Austen. We enjoyed a rousing game of crazy golf and just enjoyed being together.
