October--Cornbelly's and a hike at Sundance

October began so wonderfully, with the Jarvis' here visiting!  Yeah.  We spent time playing together, going to the park and of course to one of our favorite places, Cornbelly's!!
I tried to get everyone to run through the monster with me.  But all the kids were too chicken.  Last year I just picked up Eric and ran through it.  He was a little traumatized by it and wouldn't go back in.  Although he very well remembered that you exit the monster through his rear end with a big blast.  He did want to see that again.

Everyone loves the pillow jumping.

Both Eric and Rubie were totally elated over the Princess Play area.  They stayed here the longest of all the attractions.

Princess Rubie entering her castle while Sir Eric stands watch.

Ready for a ride in the pumpkin coach.

Fun play in the corn house.

Weaving through the maze.

Hiding in the maze, suppressing a giggle to surprise some unsuspecting kid no doubt.

I'm the real Corn Snake, RRRR!

Go, go, go!

I can do it myself!

That night after Cornbelly's, Sarah and I hooked up with Carlee for a girls night.  We started with dinner at the India Palace.  Yummy!  Then we went to a rooftop concert of the Lower Lights.  Fabulous!  Heather (Carlee's running buddy from the Freedom Run) joined us for the concert.  We ran into Simi Gartz who was providing dessert and she hooked us up with some of her decadent creations.

The next morning, Scott, me, and our kids, met Sarah and her kids at Sundance for a beautiful hike.  It was a great way to wear out the kids so they would nap and we could watch the afternoon session of General Conference.
We rode the lift up for a ways before we started hiking.

Right away the kids needed a break.

And another break?  Maybe it's just part of exploring the trail.

Max seemed to do his own thing for awhile.

Hi beautiful!

Gorgeous scenery and a lovely day.

What a stud!

Thank goodness Daddy is there for when Rubie is done hiking.
