Easter and Spring Break

This past weekend was Easter and today Spring Break for the kids starts.

Friday we were able to attend the awards ceremony in Rubie's classroom for the Idita-read.  Rubie was one of 9 finishers.  Such a difference from Eric's class last year where only 1 student did not finish.  Rubie was also awarded a Chick-fil-a reading certificate, a beaded lizard for being in the Down Under Club for getting to 500 minutes, and then a certificate and stuffed animal husky for finishing the reading of 1,132 minutes.  I am so proud of her and her effort.  Some days were hard to get her to get all the reading in.  Other days, she read more than she needed to.  That is what really helped her was those days she stayed positive and had a good attitude.

Saturday afternoon after exercise and some yard work, and Scott helping our neighbor, Dejah move, we went to Ben and Cassie's for an egg hunt for the kids and a nice Easter meal.

Sunday, besides being Easter was also General Conference.  The kids woke up to some gifts from the Easter Bunny.  I basketball hoop and some outside games including bad mitton and volleyball and a couple others.  We had fun all afternoon playing with them.  When Samuel took and nap I colored and decorated eggs with Eric and Rubie.

I wish we had some really exciting things planned for Spring Break this week, but we don't.  We will just stay home and I'll try to do some fun things with the kids.
