We are so proud of our Daddy. On Saturday morning October 17 he completed his first triathlon. The True Cougar Tri. He did really well competing in all three events in under one hour.
It was early and cold. We stayed snug and warm in the chariot.
Sarah also competed in the race. She won the overall women with a fantastic time of 38 minutes. You are a super woman, Sarah!
Calf marking is one of the coolest things about triathlons. Scott's number was 175, he competed in the Men's Road race.
Eric warming up with Dad pre-race.
Scott ready to go. This race was a little mixed up in the order of events. Normally a triathlon goes swim, bike, run. But for reasons having to do with scheduling on BYU campus, this race went bike, run, swim.
Scott completing the bike portion.
He is in there. Scott is the swimmer in the second lane.
Not only did he survive but did really well. He commented after the race that he is hooked. Good job. We are so proud of all your health and fitness accomplishments in the last year. Thanks for your great example.
