To celebrate Noah and Sarah Jarvis' birthday and just for a fun time we took a trip to Arches National Park on October 9-11. We stayed in the Arches campground. We hiked some of the trails, slept in a tent all together, enjoyed the sunshine and the myriad of stars and had a great time. The following pictures are some highlights of our trip.
Our first hike was to Broken Arch.
Eric carried Teddy Bear on all of our hikes. Eric wanted to make sure that he and Teddy Bear were in a picture together at Broken Arch.
The kids loved all of the red sand. Most of our hikes took quite a while because we had to stop so the kids could enjoy the sand. Here they are playing in the sand underneath Sand Dune Arch.
Rubie took a little siesta on the way to Sand Dune Arch and enjoyed a nap while the sun shone in this spot for the next few minutes.
Look hard and you will see Scott on top of Sand Dune Arch.
Eric got buried in the sand underneath the arch.
Rubie woke up and joined the fun.

Rubie loved crawling around and trying to walk on the sandstone. It was just the very morning we went on this trip that Rubie started walking. She was a little shaky but tried out her legs around the campground.
I thought Scott was afraid of heights? But here he is again on top of Tapestry Arch.
Our last hike was to Delicate Arch. Eric is big enough that we try to get him to walk as much as he will. It was a bit too much this hike. His Daddy carried his out and Eric took a rest on his head.
