Conversation

Conversation I just overheard between Reid Tulett and Eric:
R: Do you have a graduation ceremony?
E: yes.
R: I'm scared of it are you?
E: yes.
R: I'm scared of one of the songs what are you scared of?
E: I don't want to grow up and have babies. But we will still always be friends.
R: I'm just scared of the song.

A Spring Performance at Kids Village

On March 14th Eric's class on Kids Village had their Spring Performance.  I love watching Eric perform.  He actually sings and does the actions.  Smiles and does his best.  I totally enjoyed his singing and performing.

2nd Trimester

I'm finally starting to feel better.  The nausea is not nearly like it has been.  I only get it if I have not eaten frequently enough.  I am feeling better while exercising as well.  Although I'm pretty sure that is short lived because my tummy is already growing and I think it is time to break out some maternity clothes.  Since I started out at a smaller size than at my other two pregnancies I've been able to just wear some non-maternity clothes from pre and post Eric and Rubie pregnancies.  But I certainly have loosened up my eating standards so that might not last.

I really am enjoying my calling in the young women.  There is so many girls to get to know I am barely able to name the mia-maids.  I recognize a few Laurels but none of the beehives.  Spring weather is starting to be nicer.  We are having some nice mornings that I've enjoyed getting out early to run.  The Red Rock Relay is coming up next week.  I am a little nervous about how my body will perform.  But at least the team is not serious about performing well.  Just serious about having a good time participating.  I am excited for the socializing aspect and spending time with friends from our other ward.  Also looking forward to being in beautiful Moab.

From Yellow to Orange

At the end of February Eric advanced from White/yellow belt to White/orange belt.  He was so excited and did so well on his skills.  He had to pass off chicken kick, side kicks, punches, and even some sparring.  We are so proud of you Eric.  You are taking Karate seriously.  I hope you see the examples of your teacher and mentors and use Karate to help you accomplish all your goals.

President's Day Snow Shoe

We did not have a very good winter as far as snow went.  We got our snowshoes out only twice.  Disappointing, yes.  The day before President's Day holiday we had a nice snow.  We invited Aunt Angela to come snowshoeing with us up American Fork Canyon.  We didn't make it very far.  The wind was biting on the way back down.  I wanted the kids to walk as much as possible.  Rubie did insist on pulling the Chariot for awhile.  Only if she really could pull it.  We had an enjoyable time.
