Hand made Christmas Gifts

We (and by that I mean me) decided to make some gifts for all of our family and friends this year to lessen what we had to buy.  So we (by that I mean me and the kids, and even Scott) made some Christmas ornaments with the kids' pictures on them.  We made so many to send to everyone and then we got busy and I never mailed all the ones that we planned on getting out.  And maybe we made more than was necessary because we sure have A LOT left over.

Every Kid Loves Building Forts

No matter how big they get, all kids still love building forts.

Sherri's Day at the Temple

I had the blessed opportunity to attend the temple (for her own endowments) with my great friend Sherri Burton.  We served together this past year in the Young Women's Presidency.  When I was called as the president I knew right away she was to serve as the secretary.  She has done an amazing job and contributes in so many ways that I cannot.  I love her.  She is so dedicated, warm, generous, and an all around lovely person.  I am so honored she invited me to share this special day with her.

Temple Square and Christmas at Grandma Jeppson's

We were super excited to hear that Uncle Ben's family would be driving through Utah on their move from Kentucky to Washington State.  Uncle Ben was transferred from Fort Campbell to Fort Lewis.  The week before Christmas we were able to meet up with them at Temple Square.  We met our cousins Heidi and Meja for the first time.  They are adorable.  We enjoyed seeing the Joseph Smith movie, well most of us did.  And seeing the lights on Temple Square.  The next day on Sunday we all got together for a dinner and exchanging of gifts.  Grandma Jeppson/Santa of course spoiled all the kids.  They love her for her generosity and intuition on giving them gifts they love.  We enjoyed spending time with Ben and Cassie and their family and look forward to visiting them in Washington.

Provo Beach Story Time for Kids

Went to a story time at Provo Beach Resort with Carlee Tulett and kids, Jessica Wilson and kids, and Chelsea Ferguson and son with Carolyn in tow.

Belt Promotion

This is Eric's first belt promotion after being in Bobbly Lawrence Karate for 3 months.  He loves his karate classes.  He goes every Monday and Wednesday from 4:00-4:30.  Mikki Lawrence is the Master and Miss Sam is the assistant.  There are great kids in his class and he has made good friends with one in particular, C.J. Allred.  It just so happens that C.J.s Dad, Barry, and I were in my first BYU ward together.  C.J. is great and so is his mom, we have become friends through karate.  Eric is developing some really good things with karate.  First he wants to succeed and do well in the class.  He actually wants to learn the skills and do well for his teachers.  The rules of karate involve respect and doing homework and chores without being asked.  I really appreciate the discipline karate instills.  I am so proud of Eric for wanting to do so well.  I'm glad he has such a great teacher that is a great support to the parents and the values we are trying to teach our children.

Restricted to finish

So I just restricted the blog to no readers except the author.  I did this so that I can finish off the 2011 year without the worry of anyone reading my blog and judging it.  I was so busy by the end of the year that blogging went out the window.  We have now moved to Pleasant Grove.  One of my hopes of moving and leaving my job of caring for Lloyd and Carolyn is to have more time for other things, blogging included.  It is a BIG change for us, this move.  I am going to post a lot of pictures and then hopefully write a synopsis of the year.
